Society6.com/Alyssajane

I recently stumbled upon Society6.com, which for those of you who don't know, is a great community for artists to share their work with each other and the public.

You can like, promote and purchase prints (or other novelty items) from the site and support the artist at the same time.

Bonus: They ship to Canada! Yay!

I will be updating this periodically with new work but for now I wanted to share some of what is available on my profile at society6.com/alyssajane

There are more items available but these were some of my favourite ones.
If you're feeling extra nice today please feel free to click the "promote" button on my profile!

Costa's Chocolate Caramel Shortbread Recipe Steal

If any of you have read my post from last year about my trip to England, you'll know I picked one of these up whenever we went to Costa. They've changed name but were once called Belgian Chocolate Shortbread Cake and they are amazing!

Apparently these are also called "Millionaire's Shortbread" over here but I don't prefer that name. Something about it reminds that they are rich....rich in calories. Regardless, they are probably my favourite dessert ever.

Under The Sea... And By Sea, I Mean Pool

I have to start off by saying that the Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone is the absolute best I've ever had. Although it doesn't match a DSLR in flexibility, the 20 megapixel camera and underwater features make for some incredible shots. Keep in mind some of these have been shrunk down and taken from stills out of the video feature so the quality here is not the best it could be.

I really wanted to do some underwater shots and after spending  3 hours in the pool and drinking about a gallon of salt water, here they are!

It Must Be The Sunshine...

The last couple days of rain have left me missing the hot weather we had last week. But that hasn't stopped me from reminiscing on some of my favourite summer things. Burgers & Sorbet.

Kettle Drums Restaurant & Bar opened up a couple of years ago but despite it being just down the road from my house - I don't go much. Here's the thing - The first time I went it was AMAZING. The Second time I went (about a year later) it was not so great. The food wasn't bad but the service was incredibly slow. I decided third time's the charm and had also heard it was under new management so we give it another shot.

Lisa and I headed down for dinner and I was really excited because despite the one poor experience, they serve their own Homemade Root Beer which is one of my favourite things on the menu next to the Sweet Potato Kettle Chips. It seems a little daunting at first because its a really light/clear colour which is the complete opposite of what you'd expect a root beer to look like, but its delicious nonetheless.
